UPDATE (3/22): Lucie raised a little over a thousand pounds! Well done and thank you, Lucie!
Eleven-year-old Lucie recently let us know that she has been running to raise money for Herts Welcomes Refugees. She put together a Go Fund Me page with a goal of running (or walking)120 kilometres between New Year’s Eve and February half-term. So far she’s run almost 110 kilometres and raised an amazing £975 for Herts Welcomes Refugees. She chose to raise money for us because she was touched by recent stories about people being displaced and needing to flee their countries. The money Lucie is raising will go towards helping resettled children access activities in and out of school which they couldn’t otherwise afford. We’re so pleased to hear about Lucie’s generous act.
