Swimmer Tatiana raises funds for HWR, inspired by her volunteer mother Lexi

We are so proud that Tatiana, daughter of our volunteer Lexi, pictured here, is raising funds for Herts Welcomes Refugees with an amazing 14 km open water swim in an incredible 5 hours and 3 minutes!.

Tatiana writes:  "My mother is a volunteer with Herts Welcomes Refugees. She feels a compassion for individual lives. As a charity they are trying to be the bridge between the refugees' culture and the culture that they will now live in. They stand in for family they no longer have, because they fled their home country because of conflict and war."

Lexi works tirelessly with asylum seekers at one of the hotels, going above and beyond to help them in what are often very difficult circumstances.
