Spreading positivity - our latest newsletter

4/8/2025

We were delighted to receive this wonderful feedback from supporter Christine when she received our latest newsletter at https://mailchi.mp/hwsf/jul-aug2025

Christine wrote to our newsletter editor Anna:

"This is a superb newsletter.  Every item showing your thoughtful approach to creating good foundations for those coming into your orbit.

Thank you for all the work you are doing and I promise to help where I can with donations.  You are helping these young people become oriented to their new home.

It was so informative  - each piece so different and wonderful in its way.  It as like a fascinating conversation that keeps going - so as I write this minute the painting is vividly within me.

Earlier it was how moved I was by the research piece (Forced to Flee) - such an important step to break down stereotyping, to counter how these young men are portrayed, and to give me a ‘real time’ feeling to how this has begun for each of them, the harrowing times they will have and are continuing to go through and the strong sense of their families hoping they are out of harm’s way and living a better safer life.  This last really is very strongly living in me.  Their parents, their families’ hopes for them."

Thank you so much to all our volunteers and supporters, and to Christine for this thoughtful response.
