The Mayor of St Albans, Councillor Teresa Heritage, and Lady Verulam, herself an artist, visited Trestle Arts Base yesterday, and enjoyed the Patterns of Nature exhibition by Shervin Mohebi and Ghazal Zargar.
They were particularly taken by Shervin’s painting showing Alan Kurdi who drowned trying to seek sanctuary, with a Hokusai wave, a Munch like scream on Big Ben and a paper boat showing how precarious it is for people to seek safety here but also signifying hope. To see the paintings - and an opportunity to buy those that haven’t been sold – visit https://www.trestle.org.uk/trestle-exhibition-shop The exhibition finishes on 30 July, do visit and support these young artists. Seen here are Lady Verulam, the Mayor, Helen Barnett, Trestle’s Creative Director, Irene Austin, Chair Herts Welcomes Refugees and Helen Singer, HWR volunteer and social media coordinator. You can read more about the work of Shervin and Ghazal. Thank you so much to these talented young artists! Comments are closed.
